Congressional Candidates Debate and Jefferson-Jackson Dinner
This Thursday, May 29th at 7:30 p.m., we will be hosting, along with the 11th Congressional District Democratic Committee, a debate between our four Congressional Democratic Candidates at Old Town Hall. This promises to be an exciting and informative evening as we have a wonderful opportunity to hear first-hand from our future Congress member. OK, I may be getting ahead of myself here, we still have to win in November -- but things seem to be going our way ("knock on wood").
We have scheduled our event to occur directly after Senator Petersen's Hard Times Cafe event where you can participate in a straw poll in advance of the debate. It all starts at 5:30 p.m. at Hard Times Cafe, so after you have some good food and good times, head on over to Old Town Hall for the debate. It's all within walking distance. Further details are available on Senator Petersen's website.
Jefferson-Jackson Dinner
Thursday, June 5th, 7:00 PM at P.J. Skidoos join us for our annual banquet dinner. The dinner this year is sure to be an exciting evening of fun and politics at P.J. Skidoos. Our guest speaker this year is our Senate Majority Leader the Honorable Richard Saslaw. Further details are available here.
Sponsorships
By now you should've received your Sponsorship flyer in the mail. Please consider joining in and helping us finance the many things we do as an engaged and thriving Committee. Even if you don't always have the time to volunteer, you can still lend a helping hand. We have sponsorships available, but they're going fast!
Neighbor Calling Program
We know that there are voters in your neighborhood critical to Democratic victory. And we know that you're the best person to talk to them.
That's why we need you. By signing up to be a Neighborhood Volunteer you will have the power to contact 25 voters in your neighborhood. Your efforts are going to make the difference and will help us take back the White House in 2008.
The Democratic National Committee in coordination with the DPVA, has opened a new online tool.

A message from Committee Member and Registrar John Harold:
"I've run this program and it's a WOW!!!. You get a great list, a map and a survey to guide your conversation with your neighbors. You start with a list of 25. You can always go back for more. And you can delete someone you won't be speaking with. Please do give it a try. This interlude before the November election is the time for us to plant the seeds of our grass roots campaign."
