The Party Rolls On
And Other Happenings
Since the Pennsylvania primary basically resolved nothing in the primary battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, I thought it would be a good idea to post the latest delegate numbers on our website. You can now stay up-to-date simply by clicking on us.
We had a great time at our Dems Breakfast last Saturday. Sen. Saslaw brought us up-to-date on what is happening in the General Assembly, and then we pitched in and cleaned-up our Adopt-A-Spot along Main Street across from Walgreen's. It was a good time and wonderful way to do our part for Earth Day.
Also, I thought I would mention just a quick reminder that we have our City elections coming up on Tuesday, May 6th. So be sure and set aside some time to vote. Since it is a non-partisan election, we are not supporting or endorsing any particular candidate for office. However, we encourage all of our members to have your voice heard and exercise your right to vote. Freedom is not free!
Sponsorships
Please consider joining in and helping us finance the many things we do as an engaged and thriving Committee. Even if you don't always have the time to volunteer, you can still lend a helping hand. We have sponsorships available, but they're going fast!
Faux Food
Tonight, April 23rd at the City of Fairfax Library we will continue our Open Your Eyes video series with a new video and discussion about how genetically modified foods and the companies that make them threaten ours lives and liberties. This may sound like a serious topic (and it is), but we'll be sure to have a little fun among ourselves. Further details are available here.
11th Congressional District Candidates Debate
Thursday, May 29th at Old Town Hall we will host, along with the 11th CDDC and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, a debate among all four of our Congressional candidates. This promises to be an interesting evening of commentary - so mark your calendars now and plan to join in.
JJ Dinner
Thursday, June 5th at P.J. Skidoos join us for our annual banquet dinner. Further details will be coming soon, but, please circle the evening of June 5th now, as it promises to be an exciting evening of fun at PJ Skidoos.
