Caucus and Conventions

Plus Other Happenings

While last night's Democratic Presidential debate is now history, so is our caucus that was scheduled for Saturday, April 19th (with absentee voting scheduled for today) as it has been cancelled.  We will be sending two Obama Delegates and three Clinton Delegates to the 11th CDDC Convention in May and to the State Convention in June.

As it turned out, we did not have more delegates pre-filing for selection to the conventions, for the candidate that they were supporting, than we had positions available.  Therefore, all the candidates who pre-filed will be representing us.

Informal Dems Breakfast

Saturday, April 19th we will have as our special guest, State Senator Dick Saslaw who will join us for some good discussion and local politicking.  Then, in recognition of Earth Day, after breakfast we will head out to the Adopt-a-Spot next to the bus stop across from Walgreens and pitch in to clean it up.

Faux Food

Wednesday, April 23rd we will continue our Open Your Eyes video series with a new video and discussion about how genetically modified foods and the companies that make them threaten ours lives and liberties.  This may sound like a serious topic (and it is) but we'll be sure to have a little fun among ourselves.  Further details are available here.

11th Congressional District Candidates Debate

Thursday, May 29th we will host, along with the 11th CDDC and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, a debate among all four of our Congressional candidates.  This promises to be an interesting evening of commentary - so mark your calendars now and plan to join in.

JJ Dinner

Thursday, June 5th join us for our annual banquet dinner.  Further details will be coming soon, but, please circle the evening of June 5th now, as it promises to be an exciting evening of fun at PJ Skidoos.

Sponsorships

Please consider joining in and helping us finance the many things we do as an engaged and thriving Committee.  Even if you don't always have the time to volunteer, you can still lend a helping hand.  We still have sponsorships available.
