This year we are starting a new program at the City of Fairfax Democratic Committee.  We are calling it the "be as involved as you want to be" membership.  What does that mean?  It means that there will be many opportunities for you to participate, and we want to offer you the flexibility to join-in as your time allows.

2008 will undoubtedly be a very important year as the results of the elections will set the direction of our great nation and Commonwealth for the foreseeable future.  I encourage you to stay connected and be informed, and the best way to do that is to join your local Democratic Committee.

We are now offering three options to join in...

Option 1 - Sustaining Members: These members are afforded some special recognition as these are the folks who are able to offer an exceptional level of financial commitment to the Committee. Sustaining membership requires only a $300 dues payment that can be offered all at once, or on a monthly basis. Dues are renewable in January each year.

Option 2 - Annual Members: Annual membership is only $35. Dues are renewable in January each year.

Option 3 - Friends of the Committee: This level of involvement is not necessarily traditional membership, but, you can simply fill out our online newsletter sign-up form or fill out our online contact form and let us know what you are interested in at www.fairfaxcitydemocrats.org.

Upcoming Meeting Announcement

We have an exciting Committee Meeting coming up on Thursday, January 24th at 7:30 p.m. at Fairfax City Hall in the Work Session room.  Everyone is welcome!  In addition to important votes on our By-Laws and Budget, we will be hearing from all of the Democratic Presidential Campaigns!

Yes, that's right -- we will have representatives from the Edwards, Clinton, Kucinich, and Obama presidential campaigns; who will offer you opportunities to learn more about how you can join each of their campaigns.  This is a tremendous occasion to hear from all of the campaigns.  One of the campaigns will undoubtedly one day propel our next President into the White House.  They'll all be in one place, at one time.
